MOVING AVERAGE CONVERGENCE DIVERGENCE (MACD) – INDICATOR

MACD-indicators

MACD is an Oscillating indicator which indicates the change in momentum (inertia) of the trade from bullish to bearish and vice versa. MACD (indicator) can also show when traders cross borders of  overbought and oversold  which usually leads to reversal of trend direction of a currency pair

What is MACD indicator

MACD is based on a group of moving averages and the relationship between them. The standard MACD examine the tie  between 12-period  and 26-period exponential moving averages. In addition, MACD examines specific distance between these two moving averages. In case the 12-period moving average is over 26 -periods, then the line of MACD is in positive territory.

In the opposite case, MACD line will be in negative territory. MACD line is also accompanied by a signal line (Trigger line). This line is a 9-period exponential moving average of the MACD line. Read more: MOVING AVERAGE CONVERGENCE DIVERGENCE (MACD) – INDICATOR

SLOW STOCHASTIC – INDICATOR

Slow-stochastic-indicator

Slow stochastic is an indicator -  type oscillator and was developed by George Lane. It helps you  to see the change in sentiment among investors from bullish to bearish and vice versa. Slow stochastic may also indicate situation when traders have exceeded the size of their positions in a given direction and also can signal reversing  the trend  when trading with  currency pairs.

How is slow stochastic  calculated

Slow stochastic consists of two lines - K and D. They oscillate in the Range from 0 to 100. K is based on the current closing price of the currency pair and is in conjunction with the range of historical values for the closing prices for that currency pair. D is the moving average of K.

When the closing price of the currency pair is near the top of the Range of historical closing prices, line K (followed by line D) will move higher. When the closing price of the currency pair is near the bottom of the Range of historical closing prices, line K (followed by line D) will move lower. Read more: SLOW STOCHASTIC – INDICATOR

VOLUME TRADE INDICATORS

indicators-volume-tradeDue to the fact that currency trade takes place on the interbank market instead of on  centralized exchange,  there is no available information about the volume of currency transactions. Without volume data no accurate volume indicators can be derived. Usually the existing  volume indicators are  based on the price alterations. Each tick represents a unit   from the value of the indicator. This method is not precise and gives limited information.
